Workplace Narrative 2: On the Job Training

 I started my OJT with my colleague today, and it was a crazy day for me. First of all, as soon as I arrived at work, my trainer kept complaining about how bad his hourly wage was, and I could immediately see how bad of a drawback this employee was. 

I’m certain that he brings negative energy to the workplace every day. This is a personal bias, but I personally prefer when people don’t complain when they’re around me because afterward, I feel like crap.

However, I was just a trainee, so I didn’t feel comfortable confronting everyone yet, especially when it was my first day and I didn’t know the ins and outs of the job yet.
