- noun
- The joint connecting the foot and the leg.
- Example: The blood flow of the ankle is low.

- bed
- noun
- A piece of furniture for sleep or rest, typically a framework with a mattress and coverings.
- Example: We have to transfer the patient from his bed to the exam table.

- bladder
- noun
- A membranous sac in humans and other animals, in which urine is collected for excretion.
- Example: The patient has to empty his bladder before the exam.

- noun
- a malignant growth or tumor resulting from the division of abnormal cells.
- Example: We are here to see if your cancer has metastasized.

- CT-scan
- noun
- A series of X-ray images taken from different angles around your body.

- electrode
- noun
- A conductor through which electricity enters or leaves an object, substance, or region.
- Example: We put 10 electrodes on our patients to see the electricity of their hearts.

- gamma camera
- noun
- A camera that detects the radiation from a radioactive tracer injected into the body and is used especially in medical diagnostic scanning.
- Example: A gamma camera is used in the nuclear medicine department.

- Hyperthyroidism
- noun
- It is when the thyroid gland makes more thyroid hormones than your body needs.
- Example: Hyperthyroidism can cause palpitations, however, this cause would have been already identified in earlier admissions if this was the cause.

- noun
- Each of a pair of organs in the abdominal cavity of mammals, birds, and reptiles, excreting urine.
- Example: Some people have two kidneys, but only one is working.

- lymphoma
- noun
- Lymphoma is a cancer that starts in cells that are part of the body's immune system.
- Example: Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is a type of cancer that begins in your lymphatic system, which is part of the body's germ-fighting immune system.

- adjective
- emitting or relating to the emission of ionizing radiation or particles.
- Example: This procedure involves injecting a low-level radioactive tracer containing technetium-99 and a blue dye into the tissue surrounding the mass prior to surgery, thereby allowing the surgeons to identify the sentinel node i.e. the node most likely to contain metastatic cells.

- noun
- Any of the tubes forming part of the blood circulation system of the body, carrying in most cases oxygen-depleted blood toward the heart.
- Example: We inject a radiopharmaceutical through a vein of the arm.
